Voted #1 Best Cross Country Ski Resort!

The results are in for the 2023 USA Today contest and we are proud to announce that Minocqua Winter Park was voted #1 for Best Cross Country Ski Resort!

This contest featured 20 cross country ski resorts from across the country and Canada, selected by a panel of experts and USA Today’s 10Best editors. The top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. As the winner of this international contest, Minocqua Winter Park is incredibly humbled by the outpouring of support received, both locally and from afar, and is honored to receive this recognition. 

The Minocqua Winter Park Foundation is a not-for-profit that operates and oversees the largest land-trust held conservation easement in the state of Wisconsin. The Foundation maintains 65 miles of cross country ski, snowshoe, and skijoring trails. Minocqua Winter Park is known for pristinely groomed cross country ski classic  and skate skiing trails, ice skating pond, family friendly culture, candlelight events, top-notch ski lessons and gear at the MWP ski shop. MWP serves as home field and training grounds for the Lakeland Nordic Ski Team, youth learn to ski programs and offers a quaint trail side tea house for visitors to stop in along the ski trail. In addition to winter recreation, there are summer and Fall recreational opportunities such as hiking and biking trails as well as a brand new Squirrel Hill 18-hole disc golf course outfitted with short and long baskets. 

Minocqua Winter Park looks forward to welcoming friends, both old and new, back to the park for winter adventures. From snowshoeing, to cross country skiing, ice skating, skijoring, tubing, ski racing, trail side programming and activities as well as candlelight events, there are many ways to experience winter fun at Minocqua Winter Park!
